How can I create an Aluum account?

Who qualifies for an Aluum account?
Aluum is dedicated to building a safe, trusted community for college alumni and graduates of U.S. based colleges. For that reason, we only accept users that meet the following criteria:
- Are currently pursuing a degree at a 4-year, accredited U.S. higher education institution
- Have graduated with a degree from a 4-year, accredited U.S. higher education institution
- Have completed partial studies at a 4-year, accredited U.S. higher education institution
By registering on Aluum, you’ve acknowledged that the information you are submitting is both accurate and truthful. If we find that you have falsified your university attendance, or are impersonating someone else, we reserve the right to suspend or cancel your account.

Account settings
How can I change my email address?
We’re releasing an update where you can edit your own email address in the future, but that isn’t yet available. In the meantime, we encourage you to create a new account using your preferred email address.
How can I delete my account?
Deleting your account is a quick and simple process that you can manage entirely on your own. Take the following steps on the platform:
- Click ‘Settings’.
- Click ‘Manage account’.
- Select ‘Delete account’.
Safety & community
What are the community guidelines?
At Aluum, we believe the world is a better place when we work together. In that spirit, we ask that all Aluum members abide by the community guidelines below:
1. Be a good person: Please treat all members with kindness, courtesy, and respect. Hate speech, harassment, bullying, discrimination, or threats of any kind will not be tolerated.
2. Maintain a collegial atmosphere: This platform is designed for building meaningful connections. Please avoid spamming, trolling, or engaging in behavior that disrupts productive conversations.
3. Authenticity matters: Use your real identity and engage in honest and transparent communication. Misrepresentation, impersonation, or deceptive behavior won’t be tolerated.
4. Protect privacy: We kindly ask you to respect the privacy of other members. Do not share personal information, private messages, or confidential data without consent.
5. No solicitation or unwanted promotion: We encourage meaningful connections but discourage unsolicited advertising, excessive self-promotion, or MLM/pyramid schemes.
6. Share appropriate content: Share content that is relevant, constructive, and appropriate for a diverse alumni audience. We won’t allow any explicit, illegal, or harmful content, including but not limited to violence, nudity, or misinformation. Also, please respect others’ intellectual property and avoid sharing copyrighted material without permission.
7. If you see something, say something: If you witness behavior that violates these guidelines, please let us know right away by contact our support team. We rely on our community to help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all!

How do I report unsafe, abusive, or inapropriate behavior?
Aluum does not tolerate behavior that is unlawful, threatening, abusive, harassing, misleading, false, defamatory, libelous, pornographic, deceptive, fraudulent, invasive of another’s privacy, tortious, obscene, offensive, profane or racially, ethnically, or otherwise discriminatory. Please notify our support team at help@myaluum.com immediately if you notice someone taking actions on the platform that may violate our Community Guidelines or Terms of Use.
Please include a detailed description or images of the unsafe or inappropriate behavior you are witnessing. The content and/or the user will go through an internal Aluum team review and be removed or suspended from the platform as deemed appropriate. - Navigate to the post on your home feed.
- Select the three dots on the top right corner.
- Select ‘Report post’.
Reporting a user
- Navigate to the user’s profile.
- Select the three dots indicator.
- Select ‘Report user’.
General reports
- Select ‘Settings’.
- Under the Support section, select ‘Report user or content’.
